Ancient Egyptian Faience Pendant
Ancient Egyptians crushed quartz or sand, mixed with alkalis, and glazed with a silica mixture, to produce turquoise-colored ceramics called faience. This circular amulet hangs from Jewels’ signature hand-woven cord.
Jewels, the founder of her eponymous, Marrakech-based business, scours market souks all over North Africa and Asia to source her rare antique amulets, tools, coins, artifacts, talismans, and trade objects.
Stylist Tip: Layer with multiple strands for a bold impact, or wear alone for a striking statement.
Care Instructions: Keep in cloth bag when not in use. Wipe with soft cloth when dirty.
