Meet Our New Holiday Collection

Dear Ibu Allies,

In a world that moves so fast, where fashion often values speed over soul, I’ve found my purpose in slowing down, in listening, in learning, and in creating with women whose hands tell stories older than memory. As Director of Design and Production at Ibu Movement, I have the honor of working with remarkable women artisans across the globe, from India to Uzbekistan, from Colombia to Morocco, women who transform thread, fabric, and dye into living art.

Every collaboration begins with a conversation, a shared spark of creativity that bridges languages and continents. My role is to help guide and refine their incredible designs, to elevate the work they already do so beautifully, and to open doors for their artistry to reach a wider audience. It’s not about changing their vision; it’s about helping their craftsmanship shine even brighter.

These women are more than artisans; they are storytellers, visionaries, and keepers of cultural memory. Each piece they create carries within it the rhythm of their daily lives, the laughter of their communities, and the quiet strength that sustains them. To be part of their journey, to see a design grow from sketch to sample to something someone cherishes, is deeply humbling. Their resilience, creativity, and grace move me constantly.

I come to this work as both an artist and a believer in beauty’s power to connect us. My own background, rooted in art, history, and design, has taught me that beauty isn’t frivolous; it’s vital. It speaks a universal language. Through color, texture, and form, we share our humanity. I see this every day in the artistry of these women, how a hand-embroidered motif or a block-printed fabric can carry generations of wisdom and joy.

In a time when fast fashion floods the world with the disposable, we are working toward something different, something lasting. Together, we are crafting pieces that endure, that hold meaning, that honor both maker and wearer. These women, through their artistry, are preserving traditions that might otherwise fade, and at the same time, they are building stronger futures for themselves and their families.

This is the heart of what I love, the intersection of design, humanity, and purpose. Every project, every collection, is a reminder that art can be a form of resistance, a gesture of care, a celebration of culture. To witness these women’s stories unfold, to be trusted with their art and their hope, is the greatest privilege of my work.

I am endlessly grateful to stand beside them, learning, dreaming, and creating beauty that carries the weight of meaning, beauty that lasts.
