Wichilhenay Weaving: Handmade by the Wichí

From the forests of northern Argentina, the women of the Wichí tribe transform chaguar fibre into extraordinary woven works—baskets, bags, ruanas, and garments—each entirely unique. Under the collective Wichilhenay (“handmade by the Wichí”), MAWO preserves ancestral traditions while creating new opportunities for women in rural communities. Every piece carries history, culture, and spirit—estate-worthy works of art, woven to last for generations.
