AN IBU IS A WOMEN OF RESPECT

AN IBU IS A WOMAN OF RESPECT

(pronounced ee-boo in the Malay language of Indonesia)

It is also an energetic, global movement

putting money in the hands of women for artisanal skills,

creating a market for quality hand-crafted clothing and jewelry,

and preserving diverse textile and beadwork traditions.

In 130 cooperatives of skilled artisans in over 40 countries,

Ibu works with women who craft more than beauty;

they craft independence, educate their daughters,

lead communities, change lives.

We are constantly inspired by the creativity, resilience, and ambition

of these remarkable women.

THE IBU MOVEMENT IS BUILT ON TWO PLATFORMS:

a NON-PROFIT (501c3) provides design and business training, workspace, and equipment to women's cooperatives (WeAreIbu.org)

+

a SOCIAL ENTERPRISE offering their innovations to an international market.

Will you join the movement?

BE AN IBU. WEAR THE CHANGE.
