Aziz Radjabov is a master of Uzbek sumak weaving, a generations-old tradition passed down through his family.

An artisan weaves blue fabric on a wooden loom.

His rugs feature bold geometric patterns rooted in Zoroastrian symbolism and nomadic heritage — motifs like dragons, rams' horns, and protective amulets that carry deep cultural meaning. Using a complex flat-weave technique distinct from hand-knotting, Aziz creates durable, richly textured pieces where every thread reflects ancestral craftsmanship.
