Mixtec women artisans keep ancient brocade traditions alive.

An artisan displays a purple striped textile.

Their weaving carries the stories of the Mixtec people, and their dye is gathered from sea snails without harming them. With the Ibu Foundation's five-month training in business, finance, and design, they are forming a cooperative to sell their work in the US, giving younger generations a reason to stay and carry the craft forward.
