Handspun Hope
Handspun Hope employs over 200 at-risk women in northern Rwanda, many survivors of the 1994 genocide, who hand-spin organic merino wool and angora into yarn, naturally dyeing it with native plants like cosmos petals and eucalyptus leaves.
Women also transform wool into hand-knit sweaters and needle-felted sculptures, drawing on regional weaving traditions for one-of-a-kind pieces.
