Queen Amina Embroidery

Queen Amina Embroidery Cooperative is a women-led group of 50 artisans skilled in traditional Hausa embroidery, innovating new fabric dyeing techniques while preserving their craft heritage.

An artisan stitches a pale garment by hand.

Named for the legendary 16th-century warrior queen, the cooperative gives its artisans a path to economic independence and a global platform for their work.
