Founded by sisters Laura and Ana María Maya Silva, VATTEA's jewelry is made through a labor-intensive process of hand-sewing cotton thread, then starching it with natural starches to achieve its signature texture.
Each piece is finished in 24-carat gold over a bronze base, drawing inspiration from the vivid colors and intricate textile traditions of ancestral Latin American cultures.
