1792 – 1873 CE, Morocco While these coins appear to be ancient they are actually more recent and it is probably due to the high copper content from which develops the beautiful patina and smooth wear. The coin, known as the Falus, was minted during the Alawi dynasty. The six pointed star, the Seal of Solomon, has a rich history among both the Jewish and Islamic cultures.
